Senior Automation Engineer

We at Datafoundry are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with 5 to 6 years of experience. As an Automation Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to validate the functionality, stability, and performance of our applications. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify and troubleshoot any defects or issues within the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-leading automated testing tools.

Collaborate with software developers and product managers to define test requirements and ensure test coverage.

Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot software defects, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure the stability and compatibility of our software systems.

Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance processes and best practices.

Stay up to date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends to continuously improve testing processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement strategies for test data management.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

5 to 6 years of proven work experience as an Automation Test Engineer or similar role.

Experience in testing REST APIs.

Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including test planning, execution, and defect management.

Proficiency in at least one scripting language, Preferably Python

Experience with industry-leading automated testing tools, Preferably Selenium

Demonstrated experience in developing automated test scripts and frameworks from scratch.

Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.

Proficiency in utilizing Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment is highly desirable.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented and keen on paying close attention to quality.

Previous experience in the life sciences industry is highly desirable.

Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud architectures, such as AWS or Azure, would be a plus.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
