We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Production Services Application Support Analyst to join our BNY team. This role is in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India -HYBRID.

The successful candidate will:

Key Skills:

• Partner with Operations, Developers, Production Support, Configuration management and Change management team to perform the assigned tasks.
• Tracks and executes database customizations to apply in Oracle environment.
• Take backup and executes database scripts.
• Proactively monitor databases and their alerts to apply the solutions as needed to resolve the issue.
• Escalate any database performance issue and determine its severity with the help of production support and determines the next course of action.
• Participate in production issues and swiftly provide solutions to oracle incidents.
• Work with Oracle service requests and follow up with Oracle to issue resolutions.
• Work with Oracle System DBA to perform database duplicates and design solutions around database duplicates.
• Should be flexible enough to support a weekend in a month. And to support an evening shift in a week.
• Promptly available to join calls and help team on Oracle and its related internals.
• Should be flexible enough to perform in pressuring situations.
• Capable of designing solutions and implementing them to improve the process.
• Help design and maintain data purge process.
• As a senior resource should be able to work with the team to guide them as and when needed.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

• You will have strong analytical and management skills.
• Expertise of managing data and processes in a global enterprise environment with an understanding of database and schema design
• Excellent communication, both in listening and conveying messages to a wide range of stakeholder groups.
• Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative and structured solutions
• Technical proficiencies:
  • Oracle SQL script creation.
  • Oracle PL/SQL coding and debugging.
  • Oracle SQL performance tuning.
  • Basic Oracle internals of Instances, RAC, Memory structures, Processes, SGA, PGA, datafiles.
  • A knowledge of any other programming language such as Python is a plus point.
  • Analytical skills of finding out issues by looking at various Oracle health reports (AWR, ASH).
