Job Description

Purpose of the role

Acuity Knowledge Partners is currently looking for an individual to play a key role in supporting private equity/ venture capital team of a global investment company. The professional will be closely working as an extended team member for the client assisting them on their portfolio monitoring services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze PE Funds performance by going through fund literature such as quarterly/financial reports
  • Tracking the performance of operational KPIs, financial KPIs, Valuation KPIs and operational updates on quarterly basis of the portfolio companies
  • Preparing initial reviews or memorandums for new PE fund/co-investment opportunities
  • Calculating fund multiples and IRRs using cash flows and performing various fund analytics such as attribution and value creation analysis
  • Creating deal summaries for new investment opportunities on a third party tool
  • Manage the client library task such as portfolio company details and financial statements
  • Historical data updates in case of restatements or to fill missing gaps
  • Roll forward quarterly valuation templates update to include updating transaction & trading comps
  • Preparation of the quarterly investment valuation memos where client provides general business updates, EV and market value changes, etc. based on pre-established valuation and pricing
  • Reconciling the portfolio level operational data including geographical presence, headquarter and portfolio leverage

Specific Skill Set Requirements

  1. MBA or other Post-Graduate or Professional Degree in finance from a reputed Institute
  2. Strong knowledge and understanding of Private Equity, Fund of Funds and Financial Services Industry (FSI) trends
  3. Knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in MS Word and MS Excel
  4. Knowledge of portfolio monitoring tools like Chronograph tool is an added advantage
  5. Ability to take complete ownership and deliver the projects as per client requirements and timeline
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to conduct high-quality project-level conversations with clients

PS:

The role would require someone to work from office on all days (Monday to Friday).
