THE ROLE
You will join a team that directly caters to the front offices of global asset managers. As a Senior Associate/Manager in Linedata's Research team, you will work closely with Portfolio Managers and Senior Research Professionals. You will be responsible for providing fundamental research support to buy-side clients. The role spans across various aspects of investment research initiating/maintaining analysis on the coverage universe, understanding macroeconomic and sectoral trends, tracking corporate events, reviewing the work of co-members, training and mentoring junior analysts, etc. You are also expected to proactively engage with different stakeholders to ensure informed and timely investment decision making by clients. You are required to take complete ownership of the deliverables and demonstrate utmost integrity and commitment.
Responsibilities
- Access applicable data sites to review reporting provided by borrowers
- Track historical and projected financial and key performance data
- Spread financial data in a detailed model with underlying drivers
- Maintain routine updates to asset management systems
- Distribute emails to the applicable deal team with a synopsis of quarterly financial updates as well as any other interim events
- Investment monitoring for re-underwriting or due diligence to confirm the investment thesis
- Maintain comparable company analysis
- Keep track of liquid loan trading levels
- Keep track of rating upgrades / downgrades
- Ability to review summary term sheets and other legal documents
Skills Required
- Sound experience in asset management (7-10 years)
- Exposure to US/European capital markets
- Deep understanding of credit instruments, especially corporate loans and bonds
- Experience in preparing investor reports
- Strong excel modelling and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to independently execute assignments under tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with professional demeanour
Advantageous Skills
- Knowledge of third-party databases such as Bloomberg, CapIQ, Thomson Reuters, etc.
Academic Requirements
- MBA or equivalent qualification in finance from a reputed institution / CFA
