We're seeking a future team member for the role of
Senior Associate, Mainframe Engineer to join our
Engineering
Platform team. This role is located in
Chennai, Tamil Nadu HYBRID.
I
n this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Take an active role in peer code reviews, balancing technical debt with delivery goals to help maintain code quality
- Identify opportunities for new processes / frameworks / architectures
- Support the wider team by jointly designing new application features and smaller enhancements
- Communicate your ideas to the wider team, aiding understanding and clarity
- Have the chance to liaise with technical stakeholders, help to both take requirements and present summaries
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Mainframe Technical Skills.
- Programming Language - COBOL. Focus on maintaining COBOL programs and analyzing current processing.
- Knowledge of SQL, DB2 stored procedure.
- JOB processing: JCL
- Hands on experience in any one of the scheduler tools Control M
- Hands on experience in any one of the scheduler tools version control tools Endevor
- Databases: DB2, VSAM
- Tool for browsing the files
- File transfer - NDM, Connect direct, secure FTP etc.
- SPUFI, QMF, BMC catalog manager, Fileaid db2 etc.
- Online: CICS
