We are inviting applications for the role of Senior Associate, Data Processing
In this role you will be interpreting data and turning it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions, by bringing together information from various sources and interpreting patterns and trends.
Responsibilities
. Assess client legal hierarchy and the &lsquoKnow Your Client (KYC) documentation required as per policy and procedures
. Figure out various customer/entity types (Example: Publicly Traded Companies, Private Companies, Sole Proprietorship etc.) and the corresponding documentation required to complete policy requirements
. Analyze documents/information received and assess additional steps required to complete KYC as per procedures
. Document observations and ensure this is adequate for quality checks and audits
. Take ownership by handling cases, tracking timelines and actions throughout the process
. Able to identify red flags and judge the need for a critical issue
. Able to meet timelines and turn around completed cases to meet service level agreements without compromising on quality
. Identify, recommend and implement process efficiencies
. Strive for quality and continuously improve based on feedback and lessons learned
. Act as a buddy and assist more junior members of the team
. Maintain a record of and report progress as the need arises
. Communicate with quality check team and team lead to resolve escalated issues as needed
. Build relationship memos as the need arises for relationship managers
. Optimally communicate with Middle Office team, Line of Business, Divisional Compliance Officer and Relationship Managers for collecting missing information and raising issues as appropriate
. Screening customers using tools such as Lexis/Nexis, World Check etc
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
. B.Com/M.Com with good domain knowledge
. Advanced Communication
. Influencing skills
. Problem solving and decision-making
Preferred qualifications
. Relevant experience in Capital Markets or Bank AML and / or KYC experience
. Understanding of Capital Markets Business
. Strong research skills along with previous experience working for a research or data provider
. Should be able to adjust quickly to different work situations remain composed under pressure and stressful situations
. Proven understanding of operational behaviors on different types of businesses (money service business, wholesale, import & export, manufacturing, professional service providers, etc.)
. Bachelors or Master&rsquos Degree in any discipline with a minimum 70% marks or a minimum GPA of 3
. Proficient in both written and spoken English
. Proficient comprehension skills
. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
. Working knowledge of MS Excel
. Strong focus on quality along with an ability to read, understand and enforce to procedures
. Ability to work in a dynamic environment with frequent changes
. Ability to work in large teams
. Ability to seek and act on feedback
. Must be flexible to any shift
