Job Description: Senior Architect
Location: Mumbai
Role Overview:
As a Senior Architect, you will play a pivotal role in leading design projects from inception to completion. You will oversee all phases of architectural work, including planning, designing, and managing the construction process. The role requires strong leadership, creative vision, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership:
- Lead the development of architectural designs for a variety of projects, ensuring innovation, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
- Review and refine designs, offering technical and creative guidance to junior architects and design teams.
- Prepare and present design proposals, drawings, and models to clients and stakeholders.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.
- Monitor the progress of projects, ensuring alignment with the design intent, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Client Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with clients to understand project objectives, budgets, and timelines, ensuring their vision is realized.
- Technical Oversight:
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
- Review and approve detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Provide expertise on material selection, construction techniques, and sustainable design practices.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Mentor and develop junior architects and design staff, providing guidance on best practices, technical skills, and creative problem-solving.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct site visits to ensure construction aligns with architectural plans and quality standards.
- Resolve any design or construction issues that arise during the project, ensuring a seamless process from design to execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
- Licensed Architect with at least 8-10 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM).
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods.
- Experience managing large-scale projects and teams.
