Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Architect to join our team. The Senior Architect will be responsible for leading architectural design projects from conception to completion, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior architects. The ideal candidate will have a strong design sensibility, excellent project management skills, and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable spaces.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural design projects, including conceptualization, schematic design, and design development.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop project requirements and ensure design feasibility.
- Create and present design proposals, renderings, and presentations to clients and project teams.
- Produce detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD software.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to gather project data and evaluate existing conditions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design team members.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and vendors to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical systems into design plans.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards throughout the design process.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
- Conduct quality control reviews and inspections during the construction phase to ensure adherence to design intent and specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architecture and design.
- Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, promoting innovation and excellence in architectural design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Architect with 8-10 years of experience in architectural design and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Strong design portfolio showcasing a range of architectural projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional.
- Government project experience is must
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles, LEED certification, and green building practices.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction techniques.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
- LEED accreditation and additional certifications are desirable.
