Role Overview:
As a Senior 3D Animator, you will bring characters, environments, and creatures to life through high-quality animations. You will be working on a range of animation styles, including toony, episodic animations for games. With a strong foundation in Unreal Engine, versatility in using multiple software tools, and an eye for storytelling, you will be responsible for checking rigs and ensuring the seamless integration of animations into the game engine.
Design and create high-quality animations for characters, creatures, and objects for both AAA and mobile games.
Work on toony, episodic-style animations that align with the game's visual style and narrative.
Collaborate with rigging artists to check and review rigs for animation compatibility.
Integrate animations into Unreal/Unity Engine, ensuring smooth performance and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical animation issues that arise during production.
Adapt and work with a variety of animation software as needed for different projects.
Mentor junior animators, providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new tools to ensure the team remains at the cutting edge of animation technology.
7+ years of professional experience as a 3D animator in the gaming industry.
Proven track record working on both AAA and mobile games.
Expertise in Unreal Engine, with strong experience in Unity as well.
Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Maya, Blender, MotionBuilder, etc.
Experience with toony and episodic animation styles.
Strong understanding of animation principles, character performance, and motion dynamics.
Experience with rigging and skinning for animation.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement animation solutions.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with other game engines and animation tools.
Experience in motion capture data cleanup and integration.
Knowledge of physics-based and procedural animation techniques.
