About The Role
Responsible for overseeing Vendor Master Data (VMD) activities i.e. Vendor Master Creation, Update, Block, Unblock, Extension, Bank details update et. The role also manages the third-party service providers to get the execution of all activities done correctly, therefore responsible for the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators of the team. The role partners with central and local Procurement teams to understand company policies and ensure compliance to the policy across all user bases. The role also requires driving various process improvement initiatives working with process excellence team.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing End to End Vendor master data with operations team.
- Work with the key stakeholders to understand the required changes in Vendor Master data and ensure change requests are delivered on time.
- Monitoring day to day activities of GBS Vendor master data team and ensure data is processed correctly.
- Understand the implications of changing master data in recipient systems and troubleshooting problems.
- Ability to adhere to data governance rules.
- Carry our data quality exercises and ensure that master data conforms to data quality rules.
- Accountable for managed services/third party service provider operations
- Takes direct ownership of objectives with high levels of self-assurance to achieve goals.
- Bringing powerful analysis to issues and rapidly absorbing new information and knowledge to apply new techniques, technology, and procedures.
- Process improvements, ideas to be implemented.
- Accountable for Vendor master data ensuring in line with internal controls.

Skills And Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification with 5+ years of Master data experience in equivalent organization at least one other global organization with similar industry.
- A qualified Vendor Master Data specialist including Data Governance
- Minimum 5+ years experience preferably in FMCG industry.
- Operational knowledge of SAP S4 HANA, Ariba, MDG.
- Strong Process and business insights.
- A stint in MDM operations preferable.
- Strong understanding in Vendor master data, Procurement and P2P.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office package
- Experience of landing major projects
- Working knowledge in running data cleansing projects.
- Able to communicate effectively, work remotely and is a strong team player.
