Role: Senior Analyst, IT Network Development
Location: Bangalore, India
Role Overview:
You would be responsible for supporting multi-tenant customers hosted in Virtustream cloud and multiple data centers. The role involves supporting clients Mission critical SAP applications installed in the Virtustream Cloud Platform. As a Advisor, you would be responsible day to day network implementation and design for Datacenters technologies. Planning /Design and network onboarding of new customers. Build VPN Tunnels to customer DCs and Set up MPLS network. Troubleshoot Cisco Nexus L2/L3 and security issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary:
Hands on experience with Cisco Nexus 3k/7k/9k, ASA firewall troubleshooting,
Hands on experience on routing protocol, OSPF and BGP
Hands on experience on Switching (Nexus vPC, Vlan, Ether channel, HSRP & STP)
Hands on experience on ASA firewall (Access list, Natting, packet capture)
Responsible to carry our BAU day to Day activities
Assist in the development of automation tools (Python / Ansible)
Provides appropriate level of support and troubleshooting for incidents across the environment and guide / support engineers
Utilizes a variety of internal and external sources to investigate technology, build knowledge, and resolve incidents
Review documentation, diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures, and tools and regularly contribute to internal knowledgebase and departmental documentation
Identify opportunity areas on the Global Network and make suggestions for improvements. Interface with Global carriers to maintain current services levels and work towards developing and implementing new solutions
Troubleshoot, isolate and resolve network problems (LAN, WAN, and MAN). Use appropriate tools to monitor and troubleshoot the issues
Responsible for the development and refinement of operational best practices as it relates to Virtustream Enterprise Cloud platform management & support
Secondary:
Understanding on ASR (1k/9k) , Fortigate firewall , F5 Load Balancer troubleshooting, upgrades and firmware management
Possess knowledge in site-site IPSec VPN
Understanding of MPLS VPN
Understanding of spine and leaf datacenter architecture
Have experience in preparing SOP & MOP documents for critical activities
Vendor Coordination to resolve hardware and software issues & follow-up until Closure
Responsible for analyzing vulnerabilities in the PCI compliance report, prepare remediation plan, test, deploy remediation steps
Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate to continue to drive improved methodologies into the organization
Maintains professional demeanor under pressure possessing a can-do attitude, to keep the resolution process moving in a positive direction
Essential Requirements:
8+ Years of networking experience providing network support including network analysis, troubleshooting, design and device configuration
Understanding of transport protocols, routing protocols, and security/authentication protocols at all layers of the OSI model with emphasis on TCP/IP are essential.
Working Knowledge with network products (switches, routers, appliances) and network protocols
Knowledge of Network Management & Security concepts
Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to determine problems and act without supervision
Troubleshooting cisco nexus devices
Strong knowledge on cisco switching /Routing and security protocols.
CCNP datacenter would be added advantage
Willing to work in a 24/7 environment
