Day to Day activities
Assists in troubleshooting of incidents, analysis, problem identification and service restoration for hardware, software and network components
Opens incident report, escalates incidents as appropriate (i.e. technology SME, application SME, and operations hierarchy) and follows resolution process
Performs monitoring of production systems, WAN, LAN or various types of hardware (i.e., CPU, storage) using appropriate tools for incident detection
Provides input for problem and root cause analysis
Assists in the planning of proposed hardware, software and/or network changes
Performs Network and System incident analysis and restoration duties under direction of technical support
Assists in the execution of infrastructure or application changes according to rigorous change control procedures
Assists in analyzing the usage of system resources (i.e., CPU, storage, memory, applications) and assists in initiating actions to reallocate resources according to service level agreements
