As part of our growth, we are looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Finance Analyst who will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring the financial health of the organization.
Role Overview
The Senior Finance Professional will lead the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in managing complex financial operations within the IT sector and a strategic mindset to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting:
- Develop and manage detailed financial forecasts and budgets.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with detailed variance analysis.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Recommend strategies to optimize profitability and improve operational efficiencies.
2. Accounting and Compliance:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS) and other global standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and other core accounting functions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and corporate filings.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure smooth and timely audit processes.
3. Cost Control and Optimization:
- Monitor and control operational and capital expenses.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising operational efficiency.
- Conduct ROI analysis on major investments and projects.
4. Risk Management and Internal Controls:
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial risks across the organization.
- Develop, implement, and oversee internal control processes to safeguard assets.
- Ensure robust credit control and cash flow management practices.
5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with senior leadership to align financial goals with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with IT project teams to manage financial aspects of large-scale projects.
- Act as the point of contact for banks, financial institutions, and external auditors.
6. Strategic Contributions:
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and financial restructuring activities.
- Contribute to business expansion strategies by providing financial insights and feasibility studies.
- Partner with the technology and operations teams to evaluate pricing strategies and profitability analysis.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce (mandatory).
- Master's degree in Finance/CA/CPA/MBA (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in a finance role, preferably in the IT/Technology industry.
- Proven experience in handling end-to-end financial processes in a high-growth organization.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle ERP).
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.
- Solid understanding of IT industry-specific financial dynamics, such as project-based costing and billing models.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, statutory regulations, and international compliance standards.
- Familiarity with SEBI/ROC requirements is an advantage.
