Responsibilities
Technical:
- Familiarity with the US DB pension space or US DB Plan Coding, including but not limited to:
- Funding valuations
- Accounting valuations
- Regulatory filing requirements
Communication:
- Presenting results to the Actuaries.
- Keeping stakeholders informed on progress for all projects.
Workflow Management:
- Ability to estimate future workload capacity.
- Raising requests for work in lieu of above.
- Following-up on outstanding queries, escalate for support in a timely manner.
Teamwork:
- Brainstorming with colleagues to come up with innovative solutions.
- Volunteering to support team by picking up additional workload.
- Extend support to tier T1 and T2
Continuous growth:
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of business tools. Volunteer for testing and troubleshooting.
- Keeping up to speed with changes in regulatory environment and changes in technology.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in mathematics or related field, or equivalent, few actuarial exams passed or graduation/PG in actuarial science. 1 to 3 years of experience. Strong analytical, communication, organizational and prioritization, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of spreadsheet and database or similar PC software packages and aptitude in programming languages is preferred.
