Position Overview
The Senior Accounts and Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of financial processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on the construction and manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee the company's financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies.
- Audit & Controls: Lead internal and external audits, establish strong internal controls, and ensure accurate and timely submission of statutory returns and filings.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals to ensure high performance and effective financial management across the organization.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements within the finance and accounting functions.
- Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management to support strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations to guide business decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the company's assets are protected.
- Collaboration: Liaise with external stakeholders including banks, financial institutions, auditors, and tax authorities.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably within the construction and/or manufacturing sectors.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com), Masters in Commerce (M.Com), MBA in Finance, or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance regulations relevant to the construction and manufacturing industries.
- Skills: Proficiency in financial management software (ERP) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams and manage large-scale financial operations.
- Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
