Shift Timings: 4:30 PM 1:30 AM IST | US Shift

Job Description

  • Supervision of assigned NC accounting team, typically involving one to four persons. Trains, supervises, and oversees the work of the accounting staff; sets priorities among different projects, and makes staff assignments based on such priorities. Participates in the evaluation of his/her staff.
  • Oversee the provision of day-to-day accounting services to assigned clients. Work with a variety of clients at the same time. This includes, but is not limited to, cash receipts, cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other related functions. The scope of services will vary depending upon the engagement and may include acting as part of the client's management.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Maintain and improve client relationships and ensure that high-quality services continue to be provided.
  • Oversee or prepare monthly grant reports to the various funding sources. Oversee or prepare the updated budget and voucher worksheets for each of the grants, and prepare, in close consultation with the Manager and Agency Director, budget modifications for funding agencies.
  • Prepare internal financial statements.
  • Oversee short- and long-term cash flow projections.
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and coordinate the annual CPA audit.
  • Assist Manager/Supervisor in preparing annual budgets for clients.
  • Other short-term consulting projects may be assigned from time to time.
  • May be assigned other jobs/responsibilities from time to time.

Required Skills

  • Technical Proficiency in Accounting Principles and Practices: Understanding of complex accounting standards and application of such principles across diverse clients.
  • Financial Software and ERP Systems: Skills in utilizing financial management and reporting tools to streamline operations and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop an accounting team, setting clear expectations, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and fostering effective teamwork.
  • Data Analysis and Financial Modeling: Utilizing Excel at an advanced level for in-depth financial analysis, and forecasting.
  • Project Management: Competence in overseeing multiple, complex projects with efficiency, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Understanding of risk and a proactive approach to compliance, ensuring the clients operations align with regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ethical Standards: Upholding the highest levels of ethics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have 5+ years of accounting experience (Preferably in US accounting).
  • Degree of CPA/CA/CMA/MBA.
  • Strong knowledge of USGAAP.
  • Working Knowledge in Accounting Software Sage Intact, Bill.com, QuickBooks, and Xero would be preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including V-lookups and pivot tables in Advance Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills and the ability to be constantly self-driven and organized.
