Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team in a fully remote capacity. As a key member of the financial team, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for supporting the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to drive performance. The role requires monthly travel to the company's headquarters for collaboration and strategic meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with internal standards.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting to provide financial insights for strategic planning.
- Maintain and oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis.
- Support audit processes by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Provide financial analysis for special projects, including potential M&A activities and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally within an international or consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of internal accounting standards.
- Experience working with remote financial operations and digital collaboration tools.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with global teams.
