We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant/Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, with a focus on manufacturing industry standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION- SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT
- Oversee the financial operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage and reconcile accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements for management review.
- Coordinate and assist with annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
- Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
- Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Secure financial information by completing database backups.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Chartered Accountant (CA) + Graduation (in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- CA Inter + Graduation ((in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
