Contract Type: Freelance and on partnership basis
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability in the eBook market.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive threats.
Business Model Optimization: Assess and refine our current business model to enhance revenue streams, improve efficiency, and increase market share.
Marketing Strategy: Create and execute effective marketing strategies to promote our eBooks and expand our reach.
Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies, including pricing, distribution, and partnerships, to maximize sales performance.
Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress to measure the success of strategies and initiatives.
Consultation: Provide expert advice on industry best practices, emerging trends, and innovative approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a business strategy consultant, preferably in the eBook or digital publishing industry.
Strong understanding of the eBook market, including industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop actionable insights from complex data.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing business strategies that drive growth and profitability.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategies and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Proficiency in relevant tools and software for market research, data analysis, and strategy development.
Educational Background:
Business or Marketing Degree: A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field will be beneficial as foundational knowledge in business strategy, market analysis, and consumer behaviour will be must.
Publishing or Media Studies: Degrees or coursework related to publishing, media studies, or digital media can be advantageous, given the focus on eBooks will be preferred.
Certifications:
Digital Marketing Certification: Certifications from recognized organizations (like Google, HubSpot, or the Digital Marketing Institute) will be valuable for understanding digital marketing strategies specific to eBooks.
Project Management Certification: Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) will be helpful in managing eBook projects efficiently.
Content Strategy Certification: Certifications related to content strategy (e.g., from Content Marketing Institute) may be useful for developing effective eBook content plans.
Industry-Specific Knowledge:
eBook and Publishing Courses: Specialized courses or workshops focused on eBook creation, distribution, and monetization can provide relevant skills and knowledge.
Experience in the Publishing Industry: Practical experience of min. 15-20 years in the publishing industry, especially with eBooks, can be highly valuable.
