I. Guarding and regular patrols of assigned areas within the university campus to detect suspicious activities.
II. Control access to university buildings, hospital, facilities, and restricted areas by verifying credentials and issuing university visitor passes / visitor vehicle passes.
III. Issuance of vehicle passes for hospital visitors.
IV. Check entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering campus premises.
V. Respond promptly to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches.
VI. Report any security-related incidents, disturbances, or violations of university policies to the designated authorities.
VII. Assist in evacuating buildings and providing support during emergency situations.
VIII. Document incidents accurately and inform supervisor for further investigation.
IX. Assist in managing crowds during university events to ensure the safety of attendees and maintain order.
X. Control access points and respond to any disturbances or conflicts as necessary.
XI. Communicate politely and Guide & navigate visitors/staff and student in respect of campus buildings / departments.
XII. Encourage adherence to university rules and regulations to maintain a secure environment.
XIII. Ensure proper functioning of security equipment such as walkie-talkies, flashlights, and surveillance cameras.
XIV. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the designated authorities for repair or replacement.
XV. Prompt reporting of any suspicious/unusual activity to reporting officer.
XVI. Report unserviceability noticed surrounding his post to the concerned authority.
XVII. Report abnormal behaviour of any student/ staff / visitor.
