Job Details
- Responsible for day-to-day information security analysis; supporting the information security manager with events and alerts oversight
- Partner with the information security team to collaboratively generate creative ideas, problem solve, identifying root cause of security events, incidents and/or alerts
- Success in this role requires the ability for superb relationship building skills, particularly with our information security, engineering, and compliance colleagues
- Customer-facing problem resolution for standard security tools, including protections for email, web, and endpoint, SSO/MFA, network access, and certificates.
- Support the information security manager with various tools, including the Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) and its various security orchestration, automation, and response capabilities
- Present metrics in an organized and understandable format for the information security manager and broader team to help make informed decisions. Create a variety of reports to meet business and leadership needs.
- Participate in complex and high visibility projects relevant to assigned area of responsibility.
- Create, build, and maintain partnerships with all levels of the organization, ensuring collaboration in system changes and enhancements.
- Provide support to the security engineers with basic technical administration tasks
- Effectively interact and communicate verbally and in writing with the information security vendors including the managed security services provider
JOB requirements KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum 1 year analyst experience; preferably in a retail environment. Strong technical background / understanding
- Minimum 1 year general information security experience; including reporting and analysis
- Preferable 1 year Security Incident & Event Management (SIEM) analyst experience or equivalent knowledge
- Preferable 1+ years experience with email security (Proofpoint, Mimecast) and/or web isolation (Zscalar, Menlo, or Proofpoint) technologies.
- Critical thinking with a drive for process improvement
- Work cross-functionally with all layers of the organization and possess strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Basic programming, SQL queries, Python scripting a plus
- Experience working with cloud technologies and services a plus
- Ability to work in highly collaborative environment
Prior work experience and educational requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field (MIS or CS preferred)
- Retail experience preferred
