Experience
At least 1 to 3 years of experience as a SOC or Security Analyst, with a total of 2 to 4 years of experience.
Great communication skills and a positive, learning attitude
Responsibilities
Investigate incidents using SIEM and UEBA technologies, packet captures, reports, data visualization, and pattern analysis.
Analyze, escalate, and assist in the remediation of critical information security incidents.
Improve and challenge existing processes and procedures in a very agile and fast-moving information security environment.
Security analysts should have good knowledge of: Information security policies and goals, Log analysis and event traffic patterns, the current IT threat landscape and upcoming trends in security
Monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity events with the use of Firewall, IPS, Endpoint protection, DLP, and other tools.
Execution of SOC procedures
Triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies and report remediation actions.
Analysis of phishing emails & malware reported by internal end-users
Qualifications:
Relevant training in SIEM tool, System Administration, Networking, and/or Security
Certifications preferred - equivalent of CompTIA Security+
Ability to demonstrate foundational knowledge on one or more of IP networking, Routing & Switching, System Administration, Information Security
A genuine passion for Information and Cyber Security
Current SIEM experience/certifications would be a distinct advantage
