Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst is accountable for the operational day-to-day implementation and support of endpoint security as well as vulnerability management and Security Operations Center (SOC) activities. Additional activities include policy and process documentation, incident resolution, key metric reporting, and ongoing security project initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Daily SOC alert ticket management and resolution
- Threat hunting identification, triage, and tracking remediation
- Assist in development and support enforcement of IT policy, procedures, and standard operating procedures
- Vulnerability scanning reporting using tools like Qualys or Nessus to identify, track, and remediate identified issues
- Support cross-functional teams to understand and implement Quest security technical policies
- Act as cybersecurity support, as needed, for escalations, incidents, and other security activities
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Security products (Defender for Endpoint, Azure Security, Sentinel)
- Experience with SOC processes and tools including SIEM and SOAR platforms
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
- Experience with common scripting tools, PowerShell, Python, Bash, KQL
- Experience with Vulnerability Management (e.g. Qualys, Nessus)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and certifications including: NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls MITRE ATT&CK, ISO/SOC2
- Strong, in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills Solid awareness and experience in a wide range of security tools
- Good organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team player able to lead a small project activity when required and also work independently
- Ability and interest in learning new technologies and skills in support of the Quest Cybersecurity team
- 2+Years experience; Problem solver with good communication skills
