Educational Qualification & Experience
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7 to 9 years of experience
B.E/B.tech in Mechanical Engineering (Full Time) with 3 to 5 years of experience
Job Responsibilities
- Safety Parts (Airbags, Seat belts) development, process evaluation, and assembly line approval.
- Failure analysis of safety systems
- Technical guidance to vendor for sheet metal tool design / Assembly fixture design.
Competencies / Skills
- Working experience of Seat Belt & Airbag development, testing requirements & Quality control.
- In depth knowledge of Seat Belt / Airbag mechanisms, manufacturing process, failure modes and poka-yoke.
- Working knowledge of Fabric and Plastic material Testing and Quality requirements.
- Working experience in predicting failure modes of parts by leveraging data analytics.
- Knowledge of New Technologies / Advancements in safety systems.
- Should have knowledge of various upcoming regulations in safety parts.
- Should be well versed with materials used for Automobiles and should be able to give opinion in case of Quality Problems.
- Ability to audit vendor processes & provide technical inputs for improvements.
- Clear & Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in lean, multi-tasking environment.
- Ability to handle the product & situation independently.
Specific Expertise For Functional Area
- Should be well versed with various sheet metal /fabrics/ plastic material grades & its processing.
- Having experience in Automobile Industry
(4 wheeler / LCV ) for safety parts development.
- Openness & positive attitude to work in team.
- Should have fluency in MS-Office.
