We are searching for an experienced Scrum Master to join our dynamic Agile team in India. As a key member of our development process, you will be responsible for facilitating and coaching our Scrum Teams in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring our teams deliver high-quality software on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Champion Agile Practices: You will be a strong advocate for Agile methodologies, coaching and mentoring Scrum Teams on best practices for planning, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: You will expertly guide the team through all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. This includes setting agendas, ensuring active participation, and capturing key outcomes.
- Manage Backlog and Prioritization: Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are clear, concise, and measurable.
- Remove Impediments: Proactively identify and address roadblocks that hinder team progress. You will act as a servant leader, removing dependencies and advocating for the team's needs.
- Promote Transparency and Collaboration: Foster a culture of open communication and collaboration within the team and across departments. You will be a facilitator for effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track team progress and velocity using Agile metrics. Generate reports and dashboards to provide data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead the team in continuous improvement by facilitating retrospective sessions and implementing actionable changes based on learnings.
- Stay Current with Agile Trends: Continuously expand your knowledge and expertise by staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or similar Agile coaching role.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing Scrum within a development team.
- In-depth understanding of Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana) is a plus.
- Certifications in Scrum (e.g., PSM I, PSM II) are highly desirable.
