- Job Purpose
The Scrum Master will be responsible for serve as facilitators for agile teams working under the scrum methodology. He/She is the point person responsible for understanding the big development picture of product backlog and prioritization. He/She bridge the needs of product management, Business operations, and product development.
The scrum master works closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers.
Scrum masters assign and delegate tasks appropriately, ensuring the team's work aligns with priorities and the overall schedule and ensuring the team is fully deployed and not idle. They use the rituals and processes of the agile methodology to keep the team on track. The methodology fosters communication and quickly addresses any issues. The goal of scrum is to maximize productivity and speedily deliver value to customers.
- Core Responsibilities
Manage each project's scope and timeline.
Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders).
Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
Help teams implement changes effectively.
Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.
Help build a productive environment where team members own the product and enjoy working on it.
- Experience Requirements
5+ Years of experience in scrum master role is essential.
Familiarity with software development. Any knowledge in Robotic Automation Process is a plus.
Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement).
Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks.
Excellent communication and servant leadership skills.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Experience in using Azure DevOps and Jira is desirable.
- Knowledge Requirements
You will be a driven candidate with strong attention to detail and problem solving.
You will be familiar to working in multi-location teams and have experience of dealing with stakeholders from different backgrounds i.e.: IT and business.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills is essential.
Strong mentoring and stakeholder management skills
- Required Qualifications/Certifications
Bachelor's degree (technology preferred) is essential.
Scum Certification is must.
SAFE Agile certification is a plus.
