We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master with over 8 years of experience, specifically in handling Data and Business Intelligence (BI) projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile Teams in Data/BI Projects: Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) for data engineering, analytics, and BI teams, ensuring agile practices are adhered to throughout each sprint cycle.
- Stakeholder and Requirement Management: Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements, manage project scope, and align BI deliverables with business goals.
- Data Project Facilitation: Coordinate tasks related to data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI dashboards, ensuring the team delivers high-quality, actionable insights.
- Impediment Resolution: Identify and address any impediments to project progress, such as data dependencies, technical challenges, or resource limitations, to keep sprints on track.
- Agile Coaching: Guide and mentor team members on agile principles, fostering a self-organizing environment and promoting continuous improvement.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Utilize agile metrics and KPIs, such as burndown charts, velocity, and team capacity, to monitor progress, report on project health, and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements through sprint retrospectives, implementing lessons learned to improve team performance and project outcomes.
- Documentation and Standards: Maintain project documentation, including sprint artifacts, decision logs, and data governance best practices, to ensure transparency and compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years as a Scrum Master focused on Data and BI projects.
- Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP, or other relevant agile certifications are required.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and familiarity with data management tools like SQL, ETL processes, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of data and analytics concepts, including data warehousing, ETL, and data visualization.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with cloud platforms for data projects, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with data governance practices and data security best practices.
- Background in data science or analytics is an advantage.
