Responsibilities:
- Assist in brainstorming ideas and developing concepts for new projects.
Conduct research on various topics to support script development.- Write and revise scripts based on feedback from supervisors and collaborators.
Collaborate with other members of the creative team
- Participate in script readings, table reads, and other creative meetings.
Provide input on story structure, character development, dialogue, and other aspects of the scriptwriting process.- Meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Adapt existing material, such as novels or articles, into screenplay format if needed.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the film and television industry.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant program (e.g., Film Studies, Creative Writing, Screenwriting, English, etc.).
Strong passion for storytelling and a desire to pursue a career in screenwriting.- Excellent writing skills with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
Familiarity with screenplay format and structure.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate creative ideas.- Proficiency in industry-standard software for screenwriting (e.g., Final Draft, Celtx, etc.) is a plus.
Previous writing experience, such as published work, produced scripts, or writing competitions, is preferred but not required.
