Your Role

Primary Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct (enhanced) screening of business partners and transactions using designated screening tools and software to identify and assess potential risks
  • Review business partner and transaction blocks generated by screening systems and perform in-depth analysis to assess the risks relating to the flagged transactions
  • Monitor timely completion of screenings and ensure timely release of system-generated blocks.
  • Coordinate both offline and system-based screening processes and act as point of contact between Trade Compliance and business stakeholders.
  • Investigate transactions and escalate findings and potential sanctions or export controls concerns in accordance with established procedures and protocols
  • Conduct enhanced screening where required and document findings in screening report
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Gecia screening team, PTBA Trade Compliance team and business stakeholders to assess and mitigate risks associated with flagged transactions
  • Maintain accurate records of screening activities, including documentation of alerts, enhanced screening and investigations, outcomes and decisions made.
  • Keep Standard Operation Procedure for screening up-to-date and identify improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of process.
  • Provide regular reporting to PTBA Trade Compliance team on screening results and status, compliance with SLA, monitor team capacity and flag issues in timely manner
  • Stay informed about regulatory developments, industry trends and emerging risks related to sanctions and export controls, and incorporate this knowledge into screening process.
  • Provide coaching and training to other team members on transaction screening best practices and compliance requirements and perform regular quality checks.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, examination and reviews related to screening processes and controls.

Functional Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for properly completing your shift, including clearly communicating the transition of incomplete items or issues.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any account access problems.
  • Responsible for immediately reporting any account technical issue(s) (e.g., enterprise software, proprietary screening software).
  • Attend (on time) and prepare (when necessary) for Atlas Copco meetings.
  • Responsible for accepting calls and other communications while working on a shift.
  • Responsible for reporting fluctuations in order volumes.
  • Responsible for organizing and prioritizing work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements.
  • Responsible for continuous learning in a rapidly changing regulatory environment.
  • Must adhere to Atlas Copco policies and procedures.
  • Should be able to manage additional activities assigned along with core responsibilities.
  • Require working with flexible shift timings (24*7) basis business requirement and adherence to the team roster.

Experience / Knowledge Requirements


  • Understanding of international sanctions and export controls regulations
  • Experience with sanctions screening and customer due diligence
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of another language (e.g. Chinese, Russian, Arabic) is a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Should exhibit comfort working with technology and the ability to learn and display proficiency on technical systems and programs.
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Knowledge of screening tools (e.g. SAP GTS, Descartes, Kharon, Dow Jones, etc.)
  • Team player who can successfully manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to think independently, form opinions and make decisions
  • Ability to anticipate ahead of time and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Pragmatic and analytical problem solving skills - consistently apply sound judgment
  • Good interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills with the ability to apply sound reasoning when delivering work
  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to the needs of the team as they arise
  • Successfully meet established deadline requirements display efficient time management skills
  • Possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently
  • Experience in stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across regions and Business Units
  • Have the ability to effectively handle a fast paced environment
  • Ability to identify and recommend process efficiencies

Educational requirements:


  • Graduate: 3-5 years of experience; in relevant field
