JOB PURPOSE
As Territory Manager Schools (South India), the individual will lead the business development activities for Cambridge English Exams Qualifications, exam preparation and learning solutions in South India. This is primarily in our schools markets. This will be by ensuring that our aspiring and existing schools are well supported and provide world-class service to our schools, educational organisations, regulatory bodies, and the wider community.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To grow the market, primarily schools in South India, in line with the regional strategy and plans and following corporate guidance/protocols.
- To develop relationships with both new and existing Cambridge English Schools and associates in this location and ensure loyalty to Cambridge.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with schools, relevant group/chain schools, and other key stakeholders and support the continued growth of Cambridge English Exams an learning solutions in their location.
- Implementation of regional strategy, business development, and customer relationship management.
- To maintain current details of relationships with the school and other stakeholders on our CRM/Sales Force system and identify follow-up actions when required.
- Developing and implementing an ambitious school acquisition strategy for Cambridge in South India.
- Responsible for developing and implementing go-to-market strategy in the region, in close collaboration with the Key Account Manager South Asia, Cambridge English.
- Identify opportunities to build awareness for Cambridge products and services through active participation at educational seminars, conferences, and other events and to plan, manage and implement such activities.
- To represent Cambridge English at events such as exhibitions, seminars, and conferences, making presentations, or delivering speeches, as required.
- Work with the marketing team on campaigns for creating awareness and for lead generation.
- To ensure that all activities are completed as per our group processes g., legal, financial, tax, HR, and local policies and procedures expenses are recorded accurately.
- Liaison with and support for regional and head office colleagues
- To provide regular feedback to Cambridge sharing insight with a particular focus on changes in national education policy, media commentary, trends in requests from our schools, and competitor activity
- To support and assist colleagues on compliance, inspections, registrations, new products and services, training, marketing, events, surveys, and other school-related issues.
- Build recognition for school assessments and resources in your location.
- Focus on gaining/ improving school adoption and raising the profile of our programmes and qualifications in the tertiary education sector in this location.
- Perform any other duties that may be reasonably expected of you by your reporting Manager.
KNOWLEDGE
- Graduate qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience; preferably also post-graduate in an education-related field or equivalent demonstrable experience
SKILLS
- Ability to develop ongoing relationships with our customers at various levels as well as with government officials and other stakeholders.
- Looking for 5-8 years of experience in Education Publishing, Edtech or Digital products business on the sales side.
- Business development in an education K-12 space.
- Attention to detail and accuracy and ensuring that schools receive a quick response to all correspondence.
- Familiarity with the education systems in the region and with school education particularly in the K-12 space.
- Negotiating contracts, building relationships & familiar with CRM/Sales Force systems.
- Proven business development experience in schools education.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and collaborative environment.
- Fluency in English and local business language, both written and oral.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good proven IT skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to use and interpret data as a basis for sound decision-making.
- Confident communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
