Job Description

The School Administration and Facilities Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the administrative and facilities operations of the school, ensuring a safe, efficient, and conducive environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is essential for maintaining the schools infrastructure, managing resources, and supporting various administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the schools facilities and maintenance
  • Develop and implement effective administrative policies and procedures
  • Supervise facility staff, including custodians and maintenance personnel
  • Coordinate building security and safety measures
  • Oversee the planning and execution of school events and activities
  • Manage the schools budget for facilities and administration
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance assessments
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors for facility-related projects
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the administrative team
  • Handle facility-related emergencies and crisis management
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facilities and administration
  • Handle facility-related communications and inquiries from stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives
  • Contribute to the long-term planning and development of school facilities
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or related field
  • Prior experience in facility management or school administration
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance standards
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Financial management and budgeting experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations and crisis management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management software
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Certification in Facility Management is a plus
  • Understanding of school operations and educational environment
