Principal Responsibilities
- Design and Development of Automation Systems:
- Design and develop advanced automation systems to improve the efficiency and reliability of processes in the water sector.
- Participate in the selection of appropriate hardware and software for automation systems.
- OT and IIOT Data Integration:
- Integrate data from various OT and IIOT sources into SCADA systems.
- Ensure interoperability between different devices and systems using industrial communication protocols.
- Programming and Configuration:
- Implement configurations and scripts necessary for the correct operation of automated systems.
- SCADA Screen Design:
- Design and develop user interfaces (HMIs) on SCADA platforms, ensuring intuitive and effective data visualization and process control.
- Work with SCADA platforms such as Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, etc to migrate them to our own
- Commissioning and Supervision:
- Lead the commissioning of machinery and automated systems, ensuring the correct execution of protocols and carrying out exhaustive tests.
- Monitor and verify the operation of the systems during the implementation phase.
- Identification and Resolution of Technical Problems:
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems in automation systems.
- Implement improvements and optimizations to ensure safe and efficient operation of systems.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, to integrate automation systems effectively.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure smooth and seamless integration.
- Management of Communication Protocols and Fieldbuses:
- Configure and manage industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.) and fieldbuses to ensure the correct transmission of data between devices.
- Customer Delivery and Training:
- Collaborate on testing with the customer and ensure successful delivery of automated installations.
- Provide technical training to the customer's personnel on the use and maintenance of the installed systems.
- Performance Monitoring and Control:
- Track and control the performance of automated systems.
- Analyze operating data and generate technical reports for decision-making and continuous improvements.
- Compliance with Regulations and Standards:
- Ensure that all systems and processes comply with applicable regulations and quality and safety standards.
- The functions described above do not limit the performance of other specific activities that contribute to the proper functioning of the company
Must Have Competencies
- Experience in OT and IIOT data integration and representation in SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communications protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.).
- Knowledge in PLC and DCS programming and configuration.
- Familiarity with Screen Design on SCADA Platforms
- Knowledge of communications drivers and fieldbuses.
- Skills to work in multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively with different technical areas.
- Ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Availability to travel and perform field commissioning when necessary.
- Communication and training skills for knowledge transfer to the client's staff.
Good To Have Competencies
- Be fully functional in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Knowledge of different communication protocols and Fieldbuses Sketch Up Knowledge
- Data integration using ETLCoconnaissance in a high-level programming language C# or Python
Qualifications
- 4-year full time bachelor's degree in Automation and Robotics Engineering or a similar field.
- 4-5 years of SCADA and PLC programming and system designing experience
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
