The SAP TM Functional Lead plays a crucial role in the organization by leading the design, implementation, and support of SAP Transportation Management (TM) solutions to meet business requirements. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery and optimization of transportation management processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP TM solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand transportation management requirements.
- Provide functional expertise to guide the overall solution design and business process improvements.
- Conduct business process analysis and recommend best practices for transportation management.
- Lead and support the resolution of functional and technical issues related to SAP TM.
- Manage and prioritize project activities, tasks, and deliverables related to SAP TM implementation.
- Develop test plans, conduct testing, and support end users during the testing phase.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to business users and support teams.
- Participate in change management activities and ensure smooth transition to new SAP TM solutions.
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners for system integration and support.
- Contribute to the development of documentation and training materials.
- Stay updated with SAP TM industry trends and advancements.
- Support post-implementation activities and provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP TM solutions.
- Deep Knowledge in Supply Chain Management processes, Transportation Processes for Shippers, Transportation Process for Freight Forwarders (LSP), Integration of SAP ERP Documents, Transportation Planning and Optimization Process, Collaborative Process, Transportation Charge Management, Execution and Monitoring Process, Charge Settlement, Payment Process (SAP ECC & SAP S/4), Integration between TM with EWM.
- Desirable Knowledge: Basic knowledge of modules in SAP ECC and S/4 (SD, MM, FI/CO) and knowledge of LE-TRA.
- Further knowledges: Extended Warehouse Management (EWM); Logistics Business Network (LBN), Global Batch Traceability (GBT).
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders and project teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of transportation management processes and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in SAP TM functional design, configuration, and implementation.
- Functional Experience with a minimum of 4+ years in Logistics applications.
- Technical Experience in the implementation of SAP TM.
- Being involved at least on a ONE full cycle implementation in SAP TM.
- Having full responsibility for a business process design and process implementation.
- Good understanding of cross industry and specific planning of business processes
- Understands the Business Process in the Supply Chain.
- Proven expertise in SAP Transportation Management (TM) module.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting full lifecycle SAP TM implementations.
- In-depth understanding of transportation management concepts, processes, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage priorities and deliverables.
- Good understanding of integration points between SAP TM and other SAP modules.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Certification in SAP TM and/or other relevant SAP modules is a plus.
- Experience in leading and mentoring junior team members is desirable.
- Ability to adapt to changing business and technical environments.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is advantageous.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes is preferred.
- Ability to travel as required for project-related activities.
