Overview
The SAP MDG Sr. Developer/Jr. Architect plays a crucial role in the organization's SAP landscape, ensuring the effective management and governance of master data across various modules and applications. This role is essential in maintaining data integrity and optimizing business processes through the implementation and customization of SAP MDG solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand master data requirements and design SAP MDG solutions
- Develop and customize SAP MDG applications, including data modeling, UI configurations, and data replication
- Create and maintain data models, value mappings, and data quality rules to support master data governance processes
- Implement and enhance data validation and enrichment processes within the SAP MDG framework
- Configure and manage workflow processes to ensure efficient data approval and change management
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and functional teams
- Participate in system testing, performance tuning, and optimization of SAP MDG applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of SAP MDG functionalities and processes
- Stay updated with SAP MDG advancements and industry best practices
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and support teams
- Participate in the design and implementation of data migration and integration strategies
- Support the resolution of technical issues and participate in system upgrades and enhancements
- Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of technical specifications and process flows
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of SAP MDG tools and technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field
- Proven experience in SAP MDG development, configuration, and implementation
- Proficiency in ABAP programming and SAP enhancement techniques
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and frameworks
- Experience in SAP workflow management and customization
- Knowledge of SAP HANA database and data replication techniques
- In-depth understanding of master data governance principles and best practices
- Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical solutions within the SAP MDG framework
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Certifications in SAP MDG and related SAP modules is a plus
- Experience in data migration and integration projects is desirable
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori and UI5 development is advantageous
- Understanding of data quality management and data enrichment strategies
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies in the SAP ecosystem
