Position Summary
This position is responsible for providing incident, change request and enhancement support to Application Management Services (AMS) customers for HCM. Experienced consultant with extensive hands on experience in core SAP UK Payroll focused on payroll - including taxes, PA, OM and benefits administration. The individual requires ability to configure, lead, mentor and direct clients. Should be capable of managing multiple customer systems, identifying and resolving issues along with coming up with solutions to customer requirements within SAP HCM landscape. In this capacity, the SAP HCM consultant is responsible for deliveringhigh customer satisfaction and provide enhanced support in all the areas of SAP HCM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- At least 5+ years of experience in SAP UK Payroll
- Anchor good understanding of overall UK Payroll process including taxation
- Must be well versed with full gross to net UK payroll calculation and configuration of payroll schema's and rules.
- Should have good experience of working with BSI Tax Factory systems (BSI 10.0 and BSI 11)
- Should have good understanding and experience of HR integrations with Finance in the areas of Gross to net posting, 3rd party payroll/posting, and HR Payee mappings required for tax authority set-up
- Should have good exposure in Tax reporting PU19, Off-cycle process and payroll subsequent activities
- Should know the end-end processing of Payroll, PreDME, DME and Check/Bank transfer process
- Understanding of payroll background jobs and process models
- Experience with payroll reports and custom reports
- Must have experience in handling UK Garnishments
- Good understanding on Benefits administration and open enrollments
- Good experience with the year-end activities that involves payroll configurations and HRSP support for payroll
- Experience in various testing's like Unit and integrations testing's
- Strong documentation skills around defects and tracking defect resolution
- Should be able to evaluate customers business needs, contributing to overall strategic planning of SAP Payroll systems
Experience
- 5 + years relevant SAP experience particularly with all aspects of SAP UK Payroll , Taxation, Garnishment, Benefits, Personnel administration and Organizational management
- Fluent (speaking / reading / writing) English language skills are also a must have. Any other language skills will be most welcome.
- 6+ years direct support of application end-users in a Corporate environment
- A track record of successful roles in several SAP implementation or upgrade projects
- Deep working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processes
- Analytical, logical problem resolution skills
- SAP certification(s) preferred
- Knowledge of localizations: architecture, implementation and key functionality
- Expertise with SAP 4.x and ECC, including full life-cycle implementation experience, configuration and administration of the application.
- Knowledge of maintenance/patching mechanics and SAP architecture.
- Demonstrable history solving complex problems across multiple modules, ideally in a support environment.

- Superb technical trouble-shooting skills ability to debug payroll schema and log and the tenacity for complex problem solving
- Passionate focus on customer support and the ability to build long term, successful working relationships with Clients
- Strong knowledge of key application functionality, tables and relationships
- Deep knowledge of SAP customization/extension methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills verbal & written
- Fluency in English is required
- Attention to detail and the ability to learn quick
- Extreme focus on Client satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- The best candidates will have extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across releases (4.x & ECC) including proficiency with SAP product module/suite business processes, navigation mechanics, configuration requirements, integration with other modules and knowledge of underlying technology
