Role and Responsibilities
As a Functional Consultant, your responsibilities include:
- SAP Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any SAP-related issues reported by business users.
- Change and Enhancements: Deliver necessary changes and enhancements as required by business users.
- Task Completion: Complete tasks assigned by the team lead and project coordinator.
- Requirement Gathering: Interact with business users to gather requirements.
- Progress Updates: Provide timely updates on the progress of tasks to business users.
Required Skills and Experience
- Functional Understanding: In-depth knowledge of your respective work stream.
- Business Process Knowledge: Good understanding of business processes in the life sciences/pharmaceutical domain.
- Requirement Analysis: Ability to comprehend business requirements from users, prepare functional specifications, perform configuration changes, assist technical teams (e.g., ABAP), and perform system and integration testing.
- SAP Environment Experience: Essential exposure to highly customized SAP environments and collaboration with Non-SAP systems.
- Integration Knowledge: Strong understanding of SAP module integration in end-to-end business processes.
- ITIL Processes: Understanding of ITIL processes and application lifecycle management.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in large and diverse teams.
- Run SAP Methodologies: Exposure to Run SAP (Solution Manager) methodologies.
- Estimation Techniques: Experience with various estimation techniques is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills; well-versed in English with excellent spoken and written abilities.
- Shift Work: Willingness to work in shifts.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Global Team Experience: Experience working in a globally distributed team.
