Job Description

We are seeking a talented SAP FICA Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining SAP FICA solutions to support our clients financial contract accounting and invoicing processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP FICA and a proven ability to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with clients, finance teams, and business analysts to gather and understand financial contract accounting requirements and objectives.

  2. SAP FICA Implementation: Configure SAP FICA modules to align with client-specific contract accounting processes, including invoicing, payments, collections, and revenue recognition.

  3. Contract Management: Set up and manage customer contracts, billing agreements, and revenue recognition rules within SAP FICA.

  4. Invoicing: Design and implement billing processes, including invoice generation, tax calculations, and discounts, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

  5. Payments and Collections: Configure payment processing and collections processes to efficiently manage receivables and monitor customer payments.

  6. Revenue Recognition: Implement revenue recognition rules and methods in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS 15) and industry-specific requirements.

  7. Integration: Ensure seamless integration of SAP FICA with other relevant SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, SAP FI/CO) and external systems.

  8. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including configuration guides, process flows, and user manuals.

  9. Testing: Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate the functionality and accuracy of SAP FICA solutions.

  10. Support and Training: Provide end-user training and support, assisting with issue resolution and troubleshooting.

  11. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to contract accounting and financial management.

  12. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on SAP FICA best practices, new features, and accounting standards, and make recommendations for process improvements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP FICA implementation and support.
  • Proficiency in configuring SAP FICA modules, including contract management, invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Strong understanding of financial contract accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
  • Knowledge of SAP integration techniques and familiarity with other SAP modules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • SAP certification in FICA is a plus.
