Role Description
The SAP Finance and Procurement Specialist will be involved end-to-end in designing and deploying sustainable solutions for business requirements. This role requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Application Support Team, Project Team, Business, Digital Finance team, IS team, external technology partners, and Finance Leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design and Delivery:
- Design and deliver solutions that align with Client's Process GSMs and IT/SAP standards.
- Work across Solution Architecture, Project Management, Change Management, and Project Delivery functions.
- Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
- Conduct meetings and drive fit-gap sessions with business and other stakeholders.
- Research processes, collect data, analyze information, and prepare Business Requirement Specification (BRS) documentation.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with stakeholders, including Business users, IS organizations, Business Architecture, and cross-tower organizations.
- Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with client System Implementation partners to ensure successful change delivery.
- Design and review solutions in collaboration with the Steady State Support/Project team.
- Manage cross-functional integration points with Production & Supply, Sales & Distribution, MDM, and Data & Information teams.
- Documentation and Approval:
- Review and approve deliverables such as Solution Design Document, Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), and Testing plans (Test Scripts, IST).
- Testing and Training:
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and training for business users.
- Track and resolve issues during the Hyper-care phase.
- Technology and Innovation:
- Work on new-age technologies including Robotics, Analytics, and other software platforms and applications.
Knowledge, Experience, and Capabilities:
- SAP Expertise:
- Extensive experience with SAP Finance, Controlling, and Procurement modules.
- Knowledge of integrating these modules with other SAP modules.
- Automation Projects:
- Experience leading and initiating various automation projects.
- Functional Specifications:
- Experience in writing Functional Specifications for ABAP objects (Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
- Finance and Procurement Processes:
- Total experience of 9 to 12 years in Finance and Procurement processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Internal & External Reporting, Treasury, Costing, FP&A, Asset Accounting, Profit Centre Accounting, and Materials Management & Procurement.
- Must have worked on Implementation project post 2022
- Educational Qualifications:
- CA or MBA in Finance.
- Software Development Life Cycle:
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
