Job Summary:

The SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) Developer/Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using SAP BusinessObjects. This role requires a deep understanding of BI tools and technologies, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

Develop and maintain SAP BOBJ reports, dashboards, and other BI components.

Design and implement data models, universes, and complex queries.

Optimize performance of existing BI solutions and recommend improvements.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and analyze BI requirements.

Translate business needs into technical specifications and design documents.

Provide expertise in data visualization and report design.

Implementation and Support:

Participate in the full lifecycle of BI projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and support.

Provide end-user training and support for SAP BOBJ solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI tools and reports.

Data Management:

Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all BI reports and dashboards.

Develop and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Collaborate with data warehouse and ETL teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

Documentation and Best Practices:

Create and maintain technical documentation for BI solutions.

Follow industry best practices and company standards for BI development and implementation.

Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SAP BOBJ and BI technologies.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SAP BusinessObjects development and implementation.

Proven experience with SAP BOBJ tools such as Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Dashboards (Xcelsius), and Universe Designer.

Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA).

Skills:

Proficiency in data visualization and dashboard design.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

Certifications:

SAP Certified Application Associate BusinessObjects Business Intelligence Platform is preferred.
