We seek an experienced SAP BI/BW Consultant to design, develop, implement, and support SAP BI/BW solutions for effective data management, reporting, and analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design data models, and implement BI solutions. Design and maintain standard/custom BW4HANA solutions, adhering to SAP best practices. Work closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to align technical solutions with business and IT strategies.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Monitor SAP scheduled jobs, IDOCs, and Queues (RFC/QRFC).
- Investigate and troubleshoot system issues, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal colleagues and client business/IT staff.
- Complete design documentation and define implementation strategies.
- Supervise test development, conduct system testing, and ensure effective execution.
- Identify and resolve configuration and testing issues.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to other consultants and client contacts.
- Work with developers, business development, and professional services on pre-sales and Statements of Work.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements, and define KPIs.
- Design and develop SAP BW data models and implement ETL processes.
- Extract and integrate data from various sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Create and maintain data transformation and conversion rules.
- Develop SAP BW queries, reports, and dashboards.
- Optimize query performance and data retrieval speed.
- Implement multidimensional reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Maintain data governance and quality standards.
- Define data validation rules and cleansing procedures.
- Implement data security and access controls, and resolve data discrepancies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams on data interfaces, integrations, and system enhancements.
- Provide knowledge transfer to team members and business users.
Must-Have Skills
- Should have 3-6 years of experience in integration-based development and configurations.
- Should have experience with SAP Business Intelligence and HANA platform implementation or development is essential.
- Should have proficiency in building/designing BW solutions using BW 7.3 and above, BW on HANA, or HANA solutions, including HANA modeling and HANA Studio.
- Should have ability to create variables, customer exits, and design DSO/ADSO/CUBE/MultiProvider/Composite Provider models.
- Should have understanding of integrating BO with BW or other reporting tools, such as SAP Lumira & Power BI, and hands-on experience with various reporting tools.
- Should have a good understanding of ABAP, ABAP on HANA coding principles, and PL/SQL.
- Should have experience in BW performance tuning to optimize reports and back-end data models.
- Should have expertise in SAP and non-SAP extraction, with functional knowledge being a plus.
- Should have knowledge of IDOC error monitoring/issue fixing and analysis on job failures.
- Should have In-depth knowledge of SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and front-end tools like AFO and SAC.
- Should have extensive experience in data modeling, particularly based on the BW/4HANA concept, and handling large datasets.
- Should have proficiency in SAP ERP, ABAP programming, SQL, and AMDP.
- Should have sound project management knowledge and experience.
- Should have utilization of AMDP and HANA SQL scripts in implementation assignments.
- Should have familiarity with HANA modeling techniques and classic ETL concepts.
- Should have proficiency in BEx reporting and publishing in SAP Lumira.
- Should have good knowledge of ABAP and debugging skills for troubleshooting issues.
