Job Description


The Senior SAP Basis Lead is a key member of our Information Technology team responsible for overseeing the SAP Basis administration, maintenance, and optimization of our SAP landscape. This role involves managing the SAP environment, ensuring its reliability, security, and performance, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business processes and projects.

1.Key Responsibilities:

  • SAP Landscape Management:
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems.
  • Manage SAP system upgrades, patches, and service packs.
  • Monitor SAP system performance and resolve performance issues.
  • Implement and maintain SAP security and authorization controls.
  • Plan and execute system backups and recovery procedures.
  • Transport Management
  • S/4 and ECC (HANA DB and Oracle)
  • Fiori apps activation setup and troubleshooting
  • SAP Security knowledge
  • JIRA
  • Level 2 technical support
  • Suse Linux expertise
  • Solution Manager 7.2 administration (technical monitoring and CUA)
  • AWS Knowledge

2. Technical Leadership:

  • Lead a team of SAP Basis administrators, providing guidance and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and SAP functional consultants to ensure seamless integration.
  • Stay current with SAP technology trends and recommend best practices for system improvements.

3. Project Support:

  • Participate in SAP-related projects, including system migrations, implementations, and enhancements.
  • Work with project teams to assess infrastructure requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during project implementations.

4. Performance Optimization:

  • Identify areas for performance improvement and implement optimization strategies.
  • Perform system tuning and monitoring to maintain optimal SAP system performance.
  • Analyze system logs and reports to proactively address potential issues.

5. Documentation and Training:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP system configurations and procedures.
  • Provide training and knowledge sharing with team members and end-users as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in SAP Basis administration.
  • Strong expertise in SAP NetWeaver technology stack.
  • Experience with SAP HANA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP security and authorization concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • SAP certification(s) preferred

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional on-call support and off-hours work during system maintenance and critical issues.
