SAP Basis Consultant

Position: SAP Basis Consultant

Experience: 12+ years (10 years relevant)

Location: Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai (Hybrid Mode)

Notice Period: Immediate to 20 days

Employment Type: Full-time (Canarys FTE)

1. SAP Basis Administration:

• Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP landscapes.
• Perform system refreshes, support package/version upgrades, and client strategy planning.
• Monitor and maintain SAP environments (Sandbox, Development, QA, Production) for optimal performance.

1. S/4 HANA & HANA Expertise:

• Extensive hands-on experience with S/4 HANA and HANA database for SAP applications.
• Perform HANA migrations using SAP SWPM or database utilities, optimizing configurations for reduced downtime.
• Design and implement landscape architecture and sizing for S/4 HANA projects.

1. Cloud Integration:

• Work with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or GCP for SAP applications.
• Design reference architectures and utilize native cloud services for compute, storage, and performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of integration scenarios between cloud/on-premise and cloud/SaaS applications.

1. System Performance & Optimization:

• Perform EWA analysis, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide advanced technical expertise for High-Availability (HA) & Disaster Recovery (DR) setups and backup/recovery strategies.

1. RISE with SAP & SAP Cloud:

• Experience in implementing RISE with SAP S/4 HANA solutions.
• Proficiency in SAP Analytic Cloud and SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
• Manage SSO solutions for web and SAP GUI access.

1. SAP Technical Leadership:

• Create and evolve SAP technology roadmaps for architecture transitions.
• Provide leadership in SAP technology decision-making and implementation.

1. SAP Tools & Modules:

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC, BI, SLD, PO/PI, CRM, SRM, SAP JVM, Solution Manager, and more.
• Basic understanding of archiving and table partitioning on HANA.

1. Collaboration & Communication:

• Communicate technology plans and solutions clearly to stakeholders, offering pros/cons of recommended approaches.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for system integration and troubleshooting.

1. ITSM & Incident Management:

• Manage incident, problem, service requests, and change/release management processes.

• Strong knowledge of S/4 HANA, HANA Database, and SAP Basis fundamentals.
• Expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and GCP, and their integration with SAP.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP migration tools and techniques (OSDB, HANA migrations).
• Proven experience in designing HA/DR solutions and system optimization strategies.
• Knowledge of SAP Analytic Cloud, SAP BTP, and ticketing tools.
