Overview
The SAP Basis role is vital to our organization as it is responsible for ensuring the smooth performance and operation of our SAP systems. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and security of our SAP infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems and related systems
- Monitor system performance and health
- Manage SAP security and user administration
- Perform system upgrades and patches
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAP systems
- Coordinate with other teams for system integration and data migration
- Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and processes
- Optimize system and database performance
- Implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures
- Participate in system testing and implementation of new solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as an SAP Basis administrator or a similar role
- Proficiency in SAP system installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Expertise in database management, preferably with Oracle or SQL Server
- Knowledge of ABAP programming language
- Strong understanding of system monitoring tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and performance issues
- Experience with SAP security and user administration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of system backup and recovery procedures
- Understanding of system testing and implementation best practices
- Certifications in SAP Basis administration is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
