The SAP Authorizations Architect position, part of the global Indirect Procurement IT group, collaborates with peers globally, but primarily in: Germany, United States, Poland and India. This pivotal role entails establishing and maintaining the user security and authorizations across the Company's global SAP ERP ecosystem, with a functional architectural and risk management emphasis.
Your Role:
As the SAP Authorizations Architect, you play a key role as a value-driven member of our global Digital, Data & IT organization helping to enable the digital transformation of our company's Enabling Functions. Specifically, you will concentrate on SAP MM (Direct & Indirect Purchasing) and SAP-FI (AP Vendor Invoice Processing and AP Vendor Invoice Payments). Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Understanding dependencies and interrelationships between distinct functional modules (MM and FI) and different SAP systems.
Providing functional support in designing SAP authorizations, roles, and risk mitigation.
Documenting SAP Security Levels and participating in periodic system monitoring, as well as assisting in gathering user access requirements and blue-printing.
Troubleshooting production issues, change requests, and new functionality related to security/authorizations.
Developing and maintaining security processes to ensure compliant, efficient, and timely approval of access throughout the SAP landscape.
Who You Are:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent), preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
At least 7 years of SAP experience with SAP ERP authorizations (ECC and S/4) either as a consultant or in a customer-facing environment, preferably within the industries of Pharmaceutical, Chemical, or Life Science.
At least 2 SAP Security project lifecycle implementations, including working with internal and external audits, and detailed knowledge of SAP Authorization concepts in an Enterprise environment (single / composite roles and role derivation), participation in Fit-Gap workshops (influencing requirements)
Experience in providing functional and configuration support in designing SAP authorizations and roles.
Ability to coordinate and work with peers and cross-functional teams in a flexible work environment, including Functional Developers, BASIS, etc.
Understanding of compliance (SOX), IT general controls, and security requirements while also demonstrating knowledge of creating/reviewing existing Custom Ruleset (Rule Building), identifying improvements, opportunities, and remediating identified violations
Understanding of segregation of duties (SODs)
