SAP ABAP Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Developer with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SAP ABAP development and be proficient in ABAP programming techniques.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements.

2. Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

3. Customize and extend standard SAP functionality using ABAP objects such as classes, methods, and interfaces.

4. Perform debugging and troubleshooting of ABAP programs to identify and resolve issues.

5. Develop and execute unit test plans to ensure the quality and stability of developed solutions.

6. Work closely with the BASIS team to support system configuration and performance tuning activities.

7. Keep abreast of the latest SAP technologies and best practices in ABAP development.

8. Provide technical guidance and support to junior ABAP developers, if necessary.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2. Minimum of 4 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.

3. Proficiency in ABAP programming including ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, and ABAP Objects.

4. Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA systems.

5. Knowledge of SAP development tools such as SAP GUI, Eclipse, or SAP Web IDE.

6. Strong understanding of SAP modules such as FI/CO, SD, MM, and PP.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

10. Certification in SAP ABAP development is a plus.
