Job Description: Salesforce Automation Tester
Location: Pune/Bengaluru/Ranchi (Hybrid)
Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Automation Tester to join our team and contribute to the quality assurance of our Salesforce implementations. In this role, you will be responsible for automating tests, developing test scripts, and executing tests to ensure the quality, performance, and functionality of Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Salesforce testing, have a deep understanding of the Salesforce platform, and be proficient in using automation tools to perform end-to-end testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Salesforce applications, focusing on functional and regression testing.
- Test Planning & Strategy: Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to define test plans, test cases, and strategies that align with business and technical requirements.
- Salesforce Testing: Ensure end-to-end testing for Salesforce applications, including Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and integrations with third-party systems.
- Automation Tools: Leverage automation tools such as Selenium, Provar, or other relevant Salesforce automation tools to build and execute automated test scripts.
- Regression Testing: Run regression tests on new releases and ensure that the existing features are not negatively impacted by new code changes or Salesforce updates.
- Performance & Load Testing: Automate performance and load testing scenarios for Salesforce applications to ensure optimal performance under various conditions.
- Integration Testing: Perform and automate integration testing with other systems like ERP, third-party applications, and external APIs connected to Salesforce.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation within the testing process, continuously improving efficiency and reducing manual testing efforts.
- Defect Reporting: Document, track, and report defects identified during testing using defect tracking tools like Jira, ensuring they are addressed by the development team in a timely manner.
- Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases and report results, including defects, issues, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and other testers to ensure seamless integration of Salesforce features.
- Documentation: Maintain and update test cases, test scripts, and test data documentation to ensure consistency and reusability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in Salesforce testing and automation.
- Salesforce Knowledge: Solid understanding of the Salesforce platform, including Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and related technologies.
- Test Automation Tools: Strong experience with automation tools for Salesforce, such as Selenium, Provar, or other Salesforce-specific automation frameworks.
- Programming Languages: Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or other scripting languages used for test automation.
- Salesforce Development: Familiarity with Salesforce development tools such as Salesforce DX, Force.com, and familiarity with the Salesforce development lifecycle.
- Test Management Tools: Experience with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- API Testing: Experience in automating API testing, especially Salesforce REST and SOAP web services.
- Version Control: Proficient in using version control tools like Git or SVN for managing test scripts.
- Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile development environments, including participation in Scrum ceremonies and sprint-based development cycles.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify issues in test scripts, test data, and configurations.
