Job Title: Sales Support Specialist

Location: Chennai (WFO)

Role Overview:

As a Sales support specialist you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales team and driving sales growth. You will be responsible for managing administrative and operational tasks, ensuring smooth communication between the sales team and clients, and providing essential support to the Chief Business Officer. Your efforts will be key to maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and achieving our sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal & Sales Support:

Assist the Sales & Business Team in creating tailored and compelling sales proposals for clients.

Manage proposal deadlines, ensuring timely delivery to clients.

Follow up on submitted proposals and quotes, proactively addressing client inquiries and concerns.

Conduct research on competitor solutions and prepare detailed competitive analyses.

Create and maintain up-to-date sales collateral, making it readily available for the sales team.

Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment on sales materials and strategies.

Software Demos & Training:

Schedule and coordinate software demos for interested clients, tailoring the demonstrations to their specific needs.

Maintain records of demo schedules and client feedback to improve future presentations.

Ensure deliverance on action items of demos and workshops to enable Business Team to deal closure

Sales Operations & Administration:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records within the CRM system.

Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Business Unit, including coordinating meetings. Coordinate and attend sales meetings, capturing minutes and following up on action items.

Customer Relationship Management:

Act as a liaison between the sales team and clients, ensuring seamless communication and support.

Address client inquiries and issues promptly, escalating to the Sales Director when necessary.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Proposal Creation & Follow-up:

Assist in creating detailed and customized proposals for prospective clients.

Track proposal submissions and follow up diligently to ensure timely responses from clients.

Collaborate with the sales team to refine and improve proposal templates and processes.

Sales Support Activities:

Provide logistical support for sales events and activities, such as webinars, trade shows, and client meetings.

Maintain a repository of sales tools and resources, ensuring the team has access to the latest information.

Support the onboarding process for new sales team members by providing necessary training and resources.

Skills & Qualification:

MBA with Sales & Marketing and between 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role/function Good knowledge of financial services, especially banking & lending sector

Demonstrated success in previous roles/assignments Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively.

Proficiency in CRM software and comfortable using various communication tools (email, phone, etc.).

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new things.

High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
