Job Description

Sales Support Specialist

Location: Bangalore,Karnataka,India

Experience -4-10 years of relevant work experience in sales support, bids, and proposal

B.E/ B. Tech in Instrumentation or Electronics.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers

during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also

showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and

preparing final documentation.

The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

Support the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective

solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. Provide technical support during the technical meeting, product

presentations, and negotiations and offer product/solution-related training.

Prepare/support the preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, local

business unit/feeder factory indications, and Sales organization directives. Participate in the kick-off meeting organized by

the project team.

Define the cost for the proposed solution and communicate it to the Sales organization.

Provide information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participate in the risk

review assessment.

Analyse customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization.

Specialized knowledge of field instrumentation to measure and monitor flow, level, pressure, temperature, and

analyse liquids.

Experience in product selection and configuration, quotation preparation, technical document compliance, vendor

coordination, Full-Cost Model calculation, and technical query clarification.

Knowledge of Sales Operations Tools Salesforce Opportunity Management, Reports, and Dashboards.

Exposure and understanding of the industrial processes - Power Plant, Water, Metals & Minerals, Oil & Gas, Pulp

Paper.

Exposure and understanding of international standards - ISA, API, ANSI/ASME, ISO, IEC, and PIP
