The Sales Engineer collaborates with the sales team, customers, and cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, propose appropriate solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to identify potential customers and develop sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and discussions with customers to showcase the company's products and services. Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions based on the company's product portfolio. Advise customers on technical aspects, features, and benefits of products to support their decision-making process.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, dealerships, and other stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business needs and offering appropriate solutions. Conduct regular customer visits, follow-up meetings, and provide prompt responses to inquiries and requests. Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, their technical specifications, and their applications in various industries. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations to customers. Continuously enhance technical knowledge through training programs, self-study, and participation in industry events.
- Sales Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate and detailed sales proposals, quotations, and contracts for customers. Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales-related documentation. Utilize CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools effectively to track leads, manage customer data, and generate reports. Provide regular sales reports and updates to the sales manager, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Market Analysis and Business Development: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential growth opportunities. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads, and convert them into sales. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather market insights, provide feedback on customer needs, and contribute to new product development initiatives. Participate in industry trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences to represent the company and promote its products. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a technical discipline/ Diploma/ Any Graduate Proven experience in a technical sales role, preferably in Construction Equipment industry /any other equipment sales. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of products and their applications. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and propose appropriate solutions. Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on building and maintaining long-term relationships. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in using CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and sales-related software. Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events as required.
