Job Title:Sales Manager

Job Location: Vatva G.I.D.C, Ahmedabad

Shift Timings: Day Shift

Job Description:

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Get business from new customers, products & applications.
  • Work on new business opportunities & focus actions on developing business in Switch gears, Motors, protective coatings and variety of FRP products.
  • Create strong relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels.
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities and other internal teams on marketing materials and cause studies..
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors.
  • Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees. As well as counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams, for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Generate and maintain accurate Account and Opportunity plans.
  • Analyze pipeline and lead data, deliver periodic reporting to the sales and marketing teams providing key business insights: typical reporting relates to Demand Generation, Pipeline Forecast and Trends, Conversion Rates, Target Account, Market Segmentation, Win/Loss, and Age.
  • Report on key KPIs related to the lead and the opportunity waterfall in order to implement a consistent closed-loop between marketing and sales.
  • Offer samples for testing new products to end users, influencers & stakeholders.
  • Follow up with customers for payment & monitor their current outstanding payments regularly for ensuring that credit exposure stays under control.
  • Ensure growth of more profitable products & work towards selling the right product mix in the market ensuring better profitability.
  • Travel as and when required in the market to meet end users, contractors, consultants, OEMs, SSI OEMs, WHS & Institutional customers & bodies.
  • Work in tandem with Marketing, AE, Product Engineering, Factory & Quality for qualifying new products in targeted segments, territories & applications
  • Keep the market updated about new products & technologies, taking sustainable & specific efforts for introducing them in the market for long-term business growth.
  • Drive strategic priorities of the company, monitor & measure the progress as well achievement.

Requirements:

  • Ability to understand the impact of operational initiatives from a sales or marketing person's perspective
  • The Ability to prepare mode reports and use the appropriate mode of communication. Must be proficient at analyzing data, building reporting and making strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with specialization in Mechanical/Electrical.
  • Management degree in Marketing will be an added advantage
  • 12 - 15 years of relevant consult years project selling experience, with and years experience in an industrial pump, switchgear business segment. System's knowledge will be handy.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics is expected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
